Today was forms day. I decided that when I went in this morning that I would just do forms for an entire hour plus. So I did P1-7 five times with nothing in between. At one point I was feeling pretty light headed and I was worried. So I made a quick sandwich to be sure I did not pass out.
I then completed 3 reps of my testing form with very good results. So the rest of my day is already feeling good. I have to get that movement in for me to have a good day. When I miss that or skip it, the rest of my day suffers.
Now my next task is to work on the project of The 6 Most Dangerous Trends Facing our Children Today. My coach wants to see it get to 70% complete NOW. I have most of the information together and it is really a matter of organization. I am looking forward to presenting this material soon.

Yesterday was a great day of activity. I was able to get my thinking going on my project of the 6 most dangerous trends facing our children today. It really is about not trying to be perfect with everything, but rather working with the information that we have now and making sure that we present it in a way that is valuable to the parents and others hearing it. This has really been spurred on by a personal coach.
The idea of having a personal coach is not really a new one but it is working for me to get things done. Then last night as I worked out with one of our schools most dedicated students, they referred to me as their coach. That was one of the best, most gratifying compliments given to me. It is what I want to do. Help others, coach others, work with those that want to do better. I thought about the responsibility of someone believing that you have and can continue to help them reach their goals. I am so humbled.
Then at the end of the day with the news that my instructor and mentor – Tom Callos – is scheduling to come to our school and test me for 3rd Dan. It made me excited and anxious. Now I am driven to be the best I can be on Nov. 6, and just as important I am intent on bringing students with me on their own journey.

This week was simply amazing for our physical workouts. Everyone learned a little bit more about themselves if they chose to do so. My knee was feeling better, and I am very happy to know that there is no major issues in the knee. There may be a small tear, but the inflammation can be controlled.
I have opened myself to working very closely with some of our more advanced students. When I say that I mean that they have been open to working with me. In fact it has been a very real team effort. Sharing / Teamwork is key to the advancement of every student, including myself.

I am in the airport and ready to go for the weekend working out with masters. I am looking forward to this trip, but at the same time I am very anxious. Here is what I am planning on doing at my demo. First my form, possibly some hand work / boxing, some stick work and some BJJ.
Included in this weekend will be a talk with Dan Millman, author of a Peaceful Warrior, and Julia Butterfly-Hill. I am sure that both will be inspiring us to live our life to the full and looking at what impact we can have on our community and the world.
When I return I hope to share some of this with everyone who will listen.
