Life management

Recently I wrote this when thinking about personal growth:
“I will no longer manage my time.  I will focus on managing my life in a way that is focused on feeling fulfilled.”

While time management is important, it really is about completing the things each day that will have the biggest impact on your life, family, business and community.  When you begin to think about time management from that point of view, it is easier to look at the big picture and not the items on your list that are squeaking the loudest or are the easiest to accomplish.

So if I was to list my top priorities in life what would they be?

Physical health / Martial arts growth
Mental / Spiritual growth
Community Service

I know most of us think that the “right” answer is family.  As a whole I think family does come first, but in reality for me staying healthy, growing mentally and spiritually and giving to others is a service and example to our family.  To be your best you must fulfill those personal needs and set the tone for others.

What I would like to do a better job of is being that Master Teacher.  I am hanging out with those that I see as master teachers and trying to emulate them.  I truly want our students to be the best people in the community.  I want to bring to awareness the real issues we face as individuals and as a community and find ways of making things better for all.
